Scholz, Baerbock and von der Leyen: Aiding and abetting genocide

The situation is dramatic: 120.000 men, women and children in Nagorno-Karabakh have been systematically sealed off from the outside world and starved for well over half a year. Azerbaijan, a "reliable partner," for EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Apparently also for the self-proclaimed “Values politician” and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.

Azerbaijan's long-time dictator Ilham Aliyev is happy to step in as an energy supplier for the EU. After all, Berlin and Brussels no longer want to purchase oil and gas from Putin in light of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. They would rather actively support Aliyev in the genocide, as the German Empire did in 1915 during the Genocide of 1,5 million Armenians by the Turks in the Ottoman Empire.

Media attention for a genocide? On the sidelines

The failure of politics is due to the (except few, glorious exceptions) lack of critical media coverage. One is almost reminded of Rwanda in 1994. Wasn't there something? Exactly… These days, the Government spokesperson denies genocide.

This fits into the picture of a media landscape in which even the German Press Agency (dpa) has distributed press releases in favor of the dictatorship of Azerbaijan via its ots service, but refuses to to send warnings about genocide.

Corruption? More likely stupidity: Azerbaijan's extensive propaganda in German is gaining traction in almost all media outlets in the country, claiming that Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan under international law. A blatant liewhich you will find in many reports on the subject.
